Question: How Can You Tell If Someone Stole Your Catalytic Converter,
meaning it’s missing cuz someone stole it? Without looking underneath is there some sure signs it’s gone? I don’t know if it’s the California fires that makes it smell like ham, or i’m missing a catalytic converter. Because that is what some people said the smell may have come from.
alright so if i don’t hear anything loud when i start the car it should be fine right? i got a 08 dodge avenger. don’t know if that is a target.
i don’t even know how it looks like.
i do that got that pipe that shits out of the car. whatever that is… lol but it’s dark and i don’t have a flash light so i can’t tell if it’s missing, but when i was driving it didn’t sound loud. but i used my cellphone as a light source and the under carriage did look quite empty.

Sexy mami is right to some degree however if you look up an exhaust system the pipe that runs to your muffler is connected to the catalytic converter there for if it is missing the muffler can not function properly trust me if it’s missing your car would sound like a tank
Cat-back (also cat back and catback, and more recently axle back) refers to the portion of the exhaust system from the outlet of the catalytic converter to the final vent to open air. This generally includes the pipe from the converter to the muffler, the muffler, and the final length of pipe to open air.
